(Translated by Google) The place is nice and the food is good, the quality/price ratio is the problem, the price of the ravioli is literally a rip-off, the noodles are good and definitely cheaper (but don't expect to fill yourself up with just one portion), in Toulouse you will find the same quality at much lower prices.

(Translated by Google) How can I put it: "It was absolutely delicious! I love ravioli, and these are of incredible quality. It's not necessarily cheap, but that's perhaps simply due to the expertise and good ingredients. I highly recommend it; it's a true culinary experience."

Excellent comme d'habitude et toujours aussi sympa. Un des rares restaurants abordables dans le quartier (Translated by Google) Excellent as usual and always so friendly. One of the few affordable restaurants in the neighborhood.

Wanted to have a quick bite to eat after a movie date. It was a cold night but the food and the service was very warm. We were intrigued by the menu. We ordered the goyoza platter it was very good. It came with 4 pork goyoza and 4 vegetable as well. They specialize in what they call ravioli but what we call dumplings or pot stickers. I will go back to try the other items on the menu

We had dinner at Jiao Zi Guan, also known as L’Art du Ravioli, a small yet popular dumpling spot in the center of Toulouse. You need to make a reservation in advanced! Let’s start with the space and setting: the indoor area is quite small and very tight. If you sit inside, be prepared to leave with your clothes smelling strongly of Chinese cooking — lots of steam, oil, and fried aromas that cling to fabric. The outdoor terrace is much more spacious and comfortable, though the metal chairs are rather small and not particularly cozy — something quite typical in French sidewalk dining, but worth noting if you’re expecting a relaxed, lounge-type experience. Service was efficient and friendly. The staff handled orders well, didn’t make us wait too long, and were responsive when we asked for sauces, extra items, or utensils. It’s important to make a reservation — the place fills up fast, and walk-ins will likely be turned away due to limited space. In terms of atmosphere, it’s quite minimalist — no vibrant décor. The style is clean and simple, with a somewhat Asian aesthetic: dark wood, neutral colors, and photos of menu items. One touch we really liked was the staff uniforms — elegant aprons with a sleek, Asian design that add a bit of charm and professionalism. Now for the food, which is clearly the star here. As vegetarians (well, two out of three of us), we were happy to find a decent variety of options. We ordered: • Steamed vegetarian dumplings (served in bamboo baskets with a pretty cloth underneath — very authentic), • Fried vegetarian dumplings (crispy and flavorful), • A portion of vegetarian udon noodles with sautéed vegetables, • Edamame (fresh and well-prepared), • Wakame salad, which we love — though the portion was quite small. There was also a sort of veg spring roll that I can’t recall the name… My husband, who isn’t vegetarian, had the juicy dumplings with meat, which require careful eating to avoid a mess — the broth inside can burst if you’re not careful. According to him, they were delicious and rich in flavor. What really stands out here is the presentation: every dish is served in beautiful Asian-style plates and bowls. The dumplings in bamboo steamers, the sauces in elegant containers — it really elevates the meal and makes you feel like you’re dining somewhere far from France. We finished with dessert, which was a highlight for our daughter. She chose mochi — flavors like strawberry or coconut, filled with ice cream — which she really enjoyed. We also tried a sweet black bean-filled dumpling, which had a nice texture and wasn’t overly sugary (though still quite sweet if you’re not used to desserts). This is definitely a place that offers healthy, non-greasy, steamed dishes, perfect for a light dinner or for anyone trying to avoid heavy, creamy, or fried foods. It’s kid-friendly in terms of flavors and portions, though maybe not as visually fun or engaging as heart-shaped pizzas — it’s more subtle, and depends on your child’s curiosity. The bathrooms were clean, which is always a plus — especially in a small restaurant. Jiao Zi Guan is a solid choice if you’re looking for clean, healthy Asian food with authentic presentation. It’s not a “wow, I need to go back tomorrow!” kind of place, but it’s a very good option when you want something lighter and different. We recommend it for families, vegetarians, and foodies looking for a calm, simple and nourishing meal.
